Developer Relations Support Engineer
About the Job
The mission of a Developer Relations Software Engineer at Anthology is to work with our Integration organization to provide a dynamic and delightful developer experience which enables integration and innovation for Anthology products, partners, and clients. This role is meant to create a world-class developer experience that empowers educational institutions and technology providers to innovate via excellent technical guidance, support and documentation to members of our developer community. Whether it be in a blog, on forums, on chat, via email, or remote conferencing software, a DRS Engineer’s goal is an advocate and guiding hand for our developer community.
As a DRS Engineer, you would help create example solutions and documentation, provide analysis of real-world problems with our partners and clients, and work with our Product Management team to understand how to improve our integration offerings and related product features.
Job Responsibilities
- Understanding the needs of developers, help them identify the right solutions, and communicate relevant best practices
- Advocating to our Product Management team for solutions that solve valuable improvements for our Integration solutions and processes
- Responding promptly to developer community needs and communicating with confidence and passion using domain expertise
- Understanding specific products as appropriate for your domain
- Preparing and delivering demos we use to educate our developer community
- This role requires occasional travel for industry and company events
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree qualified or equivalent in Business/Communications or Computer Science
- At least 3 years of Technical/Functional Solutions Engineering or Professional Services experience or Higher Education experience supporting a Student Information System
- Great oral and written, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong cross-functional relationships
- Self-motivated and proactive to constantly learn and grow
- Ability to articulate and logically communicate concepts both technically and functionally
- Ability to prioritize the work and strong project management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, follow up on commitments, and take action as needed
- Positive team player with the ability to develop and maintain internal and external professional relationships
Preferred skills/qualifications:
Technical hands-on experience using:
- Microsoft Power Platform
- Design patterns
- Web Services
- REST APIs
- OData
- Revision Control Systems such as Git
