Neo4j GraphAcademy:
Neo4j GraphAcademy is our free, self-paced, hands-on online training platform.The mission of GraphAcademy is to provide high quality online training for users of all levels, with the goal of making them successful. GraphAcademy provides a clear learning path for beginners to become experts within a given field with curated learning paths for Developers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists. Courses on Neo4j GraphAcademy are intended to be fun, engaging and interactive, and provide an immersive experience for learners with diverse learning preferences.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Curriculum Developer who is excited about teaching and engaging with Neo4j users of all experience levels. Your day-to-day work will involve creating engaging, hands-on online training courses that each assign user specific tasks that utilize Neo4j features and tools. You should be comfortable expressing complex subject matter in a clear, simple, and engaging way and be comfortable in front of a camera.

As a Curriculum Developer, you are excited about educating new learners about cutting-edge technologies. You will work with users and teams across the organization to identify gaps in the course catalogue, and develop courses to cover these gaps.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Developer Relations, you will work closely within a distributed Developer Relations team. You will also work with other groups such as Community, Marketing, Product Management, Field-Engineering, and Engineering.
Job Responsibilities
- Creating technical content to educate and empower developers; this can include videos, sample applications, presentations, blog posts, and other materials.
- Using the existing Neo4j Documentation to produce courses that educate users of all levels.
- Creating accompanying materials to support the learner’s continuing education.
- Producing diagrams and animations to communicate concepts in an easy-to-understand way.
- Recording video and audio lessons to accompany text-based lessons.
- Provide feedback on Neo4j managed services offerings, course catalogue, and database capabilities to help improve the feedback loop between what users need and what Neo4j delivers.
We look at the success of this role in terms of increasing numbers of Certified Neo4j Professionals, along with overall and course-specific completion rates.
In a few months, you will have learned how to use graph technology and how to improve education for the community and developed and published your first course.
A few months later, you will have worked on several programs in front of our community; helping them succeed with Neo4j and you will have developed a number of hands-on, interactive courses. By the end of a year, you will have contributed significantly to the course catalogue and supporting materials.
Skills & Experience
- A background in developer education or technical writing.
- Ability to research and develop training materials for users of all ability levels.
- An empathy for users and their learning experience.
- A strong command of the English language - both writing and speaking.
Skills that are not required but that we can help you build upon:
- Experience with graphs, graph databases, or Neo4j.
- Experience with software development, databases, data engineering or machine learning.
- Experience authoring and publishing content with Asciidoc or Markdown.
- Experience in recording videos, or giving online presentations.
- Experience in creating interactive experiences, designs and tools
