We’re looking for a developer advocate to oversee API governance and drive change management initiatives in our Tallinn office. In this role, you’ll work with our awesome Developer Relations team on ensuring API consistency and quality, driving adoption and communicating key changes. Job Responsibilities

  • Own the internal API change management process, ensure it's followed and deliver clear and concise technical communications about API changes to external parties
  • Foster and nurture relationships within the Developers' Community, acting as a bridge between them and Pipedrive and ensuring their needs and feedback are addressed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and drive API improvement opportunities, advise on industry best practices and consistently advocate for the customer needs
  • Monitor and measure API performance, usage and customer feedback, ensuring continual improvement based on the insights
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and up-to-date nature of the API Reference
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and the trends for APIs

Skills & Experience

  • At least two years of experience in API governance, technical writing, QA or a related field
  • Great communication and writing skills in English, with an ability to effectively manage relations with both internal and external stakeholders
  • An eye for detail and a talent for conveying complex technical ideas in a simple and understandable manner
  • Experience in programming or software development is a plus
  • At least basic understanding of API principles, development and deployment
  • Experience with GitHub (or similar) and content management systems
  • The ability to take initiative, make decisions and defend the decisions if they’re challenged
  • Experience in managing and implementing change in tech environments, especially around APIs
  • Demonstrated ability to capture, prioritize and act on customer feedback to improve API experience
  • The capability to drive initiatives and strategies that boost API adoption and stability
  • A degree in computer science, information technology or a related field is a plus
